Ah, the feeling of being in your twenties. An age where you feel stuck, confused, excited, happy, sad, and where you feel like you need to have it all. Did I get that right?

No one talks about the reality of being in your twenties. Society has set a specific timeline for people to reach and achieve. According to society in your twenties you are supposed to go to college, graduate, start your career, fall in love, get married, and buy a house. This is not at all true or the plan for everyone. Rules are fake.

I do believe your twenties is a foundational time. It is the decade to build a great foundation to hit your prime, that being your 30s. At least, this is how I see my twenties. It is different for everyone. Moreover, this is the time where we are the young version in our adulthood.

The reality is that everyone has a different story and different path. I believe that everyone’s story and journey is what makes them unique. We are so stuck in playing “catch-up” with society and it’s standards. Some people might experience the best in their twenties and others might experience their worst in their twenties.

If you could take any advice today, it would tell you to stop comparing yourself to others online, society’s timeline is fake, you are in control of your own story, and you are doing great. We often put so much pressure on ourselves and forget to realize that we are living in a moment that we wished for. I am here to remind you that you are on the right path.
