With there being 32 million Latinos eligible to vote in this year’s election, most of this growth came from Young Latinos. Approximately 3.6 million Latinos became of age to vote from 2016. Hispanic Millennials and Gen Z are being known to be the “generation of change.”

They are trying to get their voices heard and stand up for those who can’t. Race and how COVID-19 has impacted the Latino community are the main two issues that they are considering when going to the polls to vote.

On Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020, I had the chance to speak and interview a young Latina voter who wishes to remain anonymous.

She shared her thoughts on how she felt about her community being the largest minority group to become eligible to vote in this year’s election. Also, she shined some light on her experience with this being her first time voting.
